Founder & Principal

Tony deLeon is the founder and principal of Techpay. With nearly 20 years of business strategy and
technology consulting experience, Tony has advised senior executives in over 50 major corporations
globally in financial services, telecommunications, transportation, healthcare and energy. He is an
experienced practitioner and frequent speaker on IT and eBusiness strategy issues, payments and
financial supply chain management, b
usiness intelligence, and organization development.  His articles
have been published in the
E-Business Review and the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Strategic
Finance
magazine.

Prior to founding Techpay, Tony was a partner with Accenture, where he led much of the firm’s
thought leadership on eCommerce and electronic payments.  Tony managed the Supply Chain and
Finance & Performance Management Service Lines for the Western Region financial services
practice, and was the client relationship partner for several major banking and payments clients.  
Prior to Accenture, Tony was a principal with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc., where he led consulting
engagements in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific addressing strategic business and
technology issues for firms across a wide range of industries.

Tony is currently an adjunct professor
at Golden Gate University where he received his doctorate
with highest honors in marketing and technology management
. His research interests include B2B
marketing, technology management, and the adoption/ diffusion of innovations.  He received his MBA
degree (with distinction) from Wharton in finance and operations management, and his AB degree
(summa cum laude) from Harvard, where he majored in applied mathematics.
